Application Procedure

  1. Please register using New User Registration
    Last Date of Online Registration : 10/07/2017 23:45 Hours
    Last Date of Online Payment : 13/07/2017 23:45 Hours
    Last Date of Filling of Prescribed Application Form : 17/07/2017 23:45 Hours
    Last Date of Reciept of Printed Application : 24/07/2017 17:00 Hours

  2. After getting application id
    - Please Pay the Application Fee as below:
    - Rs 1000/- for General & SEBC Candidates.
    - Rs 500/- for SC/ST & PWD Candidates.

    To apply for EACH Post, the applicant needs to deposit Application Fee separately. Please note that the Application Fee will be deposited through SBI Online Fee Collection facility i.e. State Bank Collect. With this option you can make payment online using any Credit/Debit card or through Net Banking or Cash/Cheque.

    For making the payment, please visit https://www.onlinesbi.com/ -> State Bank Collect OR https://www.onlinesbi.com/prelogin/icollecthome.htm?corpID=370730 and proceed. Click here to get a Step by Step guide to complete the payment successfully. After successful payment through Net Banking or Credit/Debit Card, you will get an e-Receipt generated immediately from the System containing a reference number. The reference number will be in 8 digits which you will have to provide while submitting the Online Application Form.

    You may also deposit Cash/Cheque drawn on SBI at any SBI branch after generating a pre Acknowledgement Payment (PAP) form from State Bank Collect option. In such cases, the e-Receipt needs to be generated from Payment History link of SBI e-Collect after depositing the fee at the SBI Branch.

  3. Applicant Login:
    After Successful Payment of Application fee You will receive your UserId & Password after two working days
    Use these UserId & Password to fill the prescribed application form on-line at http://utkaluniversity.nic.in/uuRecrtmnt/user-login.html . Before starting the process please be ready with the following items and upload documents size should not exceed 1MB:
    • Soft copy of your recent photograph in JPG format with maximum dimension of 150px in width and 180px in height & 200KB volume.
    • Scanned copy of your Caste certificate if applicable.
    • Scanned copy of your PwD certificate if applicable.

  4. Application Process : Step 1 (Personal Info):
    Step 1 is to provide the Personal Information of Applicant. Here you will also choose for how many years you want to provide API score for Category I & II. In case you don't want to provide API Score, please select "none" from list.
    Fill up Step 1 with necessary data and click on "Save & Proceed " to move to the next Step. On saving of Step 1, the "Apply Now" button agaist each post at User home page will be replaced with "Continue". After final submission the application no. will be generated and it will be displayed on the user menu. Hence you can click this link to get the respective Application Form.

  5. Application Process : Step 2 (Academic Info & Experience Summary):
    Step 2 is to provide Educational Qualification, Research Details, Field of Specialisation, Field of Specialisation, NET/SLET/GATE Details, Teaching and Research Experience (Only Regular and Continuous Service) & Awards / Distinction / Any other information.

    Fill up Step 2 with necessary data and click on "Save & Proceed" to move to the next Step.
  6. Application Process : Step 3 (API Score: Category I):
    Step 3 is to provide API Score of Category I.

    Fill up Step 3 with necessary data and click on "Save & Proceed" to move to the next Step.
  7. Application Process : Step 4 (API Score: Category II):
    Step 4 is to provide API Score of Category II.
    Fill up Step 4 with necessary data and click on "Save & Proceed" to move to the next Step.
  8. Application Process : Step 5 to 9 (API Score: Category III):
    Step 5 to 9 is to provide Research and Academic Contributions details with API scoring.

    Fill up the Steps with necessary data and click on "Save & Proceed" to move to the next Step. In case of large amount of data, Please click on "Save & Proceed" on an interval of every 15 minutes and go back to respective step to continue.
  9. Application Process : Step 10 (Upload Photo & Signature):
    Step 10 is to upload your Photo and clearly visible signature (30-100Kb in .jpg format) .
    Fill up Step 10 with necessary data and click on "Save & Next" to move to the next Step.
  10. Application Process : Step 11 (Review Form):
    Once Step 1 to Step 10 is completed with all relevant data, please preview your application form clicking on the link "View Application Form". You need to verify all you inputs in this step and if everything is perfect, Click on "Final Submit" You can view and take a printout of your application by clicking on the link "View Application Form".
  11. Final Submission & Taking Print-out
    Once clicking the "Save and Submit" the Application form will be submitted and no further modification to the form will be possible. "Download Application Form" and . Click on the respective links and download or take printout of both the documents. Or you can later login to the application and click on the Application No. from Menu Items and take Printouts.
  12. Send the Application form and other documents:
    After taking printout please send the Application Form with following documents to Utkal University at below given address. Job Holders needs to send application form in Proper Channel.
    • Proof of the application fee deposited
    • Self attested photocopy of Matriculation certificate
    • Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of the Matriculation examination
    • Self attested photocopy of Intermediate certificate
    • Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of the Intermediate examination
    • Self attested photocopy of Bachelor degree certificate
    • Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of the Bachelor degree examination
    • Self attested photocopy of Master degree certificate
    • Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of the Master degree examination
    • Self attested photocopy of M.Phil certificate
    • Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of the M.Phill degree examination
    • Self attested photocopy of PhD certificate
    • Self attested photocopy of D.Litt examination
    • Self attested photocopy of caste certificate, if claiming for reservation
    • Self attested disability certificate, if claiming for reservation
    • API Score document (Category I) certified by the competent authority
    • API Score document (Category II) certified by the competent authority
    • API Score document (Category III) certified by the competent authority
    • Non-NET candidates applying for the post of lecturer have to send the PhD registration certificate (for date of registration) or a certificate from the competent University authority showing the date of registration for PhD.
    • Candidates applying for the post of Reader are required to submit the reprints of their five major publications.
    • Candidates applying for the post of Professor are required to submit the reprints of their ten major publications.
    • Candidates who are in-service can send their applications as Advance Copy in order to save delay. They have to ensure that proper channel of application must follow it.
    • Self attested photocopies of other achievements and research work
